Starting July 1, residents will see a slight increase in utility rates due to a 4.9% contractual CPI adjustment from Waste Management, a 6.0% increase from North Pointe Solid Waste, and changes in the recycling market. Garbage rates will increase from $12.08 to $12.83 for the first toter and from $9.45 to $10.05 for each additional toter. Recycling rates will decrease slightly—from $11.59 to $11.50 for the first toter and from $9.35 to $8.98 for each additional toter. Additionally, the Public Safety contract fee with American Fork will increase by $1.00, bringing the total to $10.00 per ERU.
