CEDAR HILLS – During the July 31, 2012, Council meeting, Mayor Gary Gygi recommended the appointment of David Bunker as City Manager for the City of Cedar Hills. The recommendation was then unanimously approved by the City Council. Mr. Bunker worked for Cedar Hills since 2001, the majority of that time as the Public Works Director. He has played a significant role in the growth and development of Cedar Hills. Mr. Bunker has served as the acting City Manager since May 2012 and has been instrumental in the transition that has taken place over the past few months. The Mayor and Council have complete confidence is his abilities to serve as City Manager as officials and staff look to expanding commercial development while continuing to provide excellent services to residents.
“I am very excited to take on the challenges of a new position within the City,” said David Bunker. “There are many opportunities to grow and learn from staff, the Mayor and Council, and residents. I envision the City moving forward with positive economic growth, increased citizen engagement, and additional recreation activities to enjoy throughout the city. I am excited to work closely with our Mayor and Council in promoting the vision and goals we have for our city.”
