Annual “Blood Battle” – April 9
March 26, 2013
Horrocks Engineers is hosting its annual “blood battle” and encourages all North Utah County residents to participate. The annual blood drive is a friendly competition to see which city can give the most blood donations to the American Red Cross. Each year the team or city with the greatest number of donors is named Blood Battle Champion and receives an award.
“This is a great way to serve members of your community,” stated Councilmember Jenney Rees. “As the mother of a child who needed five transfusions in the first eight days of her life, I sincerely appreciate those who give these life-saving donations and hope to see many come out to support this event.”
This year the blood battle will take place on Tuesday, April 9, from 10am to 3pm at Horrocks Engineers, located at 2162 W. Grove Parkway, Pleasant Grove, and at the Eagle Mountain City Hall, located at 1650 E. Stagecoach Run. Participants can register in advance online and all receive a free “Blood Battle 2013” t-shirt and refreshments.
