The city’s first all vote-by-mail election, which was held on August 11, 2015, produced a record 27% voter participation for a primary election. If you plan to vote in the general election on November 3, please make sure you are registered to vote. Every election has certain deadlines for registration. Know what the specific dates and requirements are for your situation, so that you can be ready to cast your vote by November 3.

By-Mail Registration Deadline (October 5): Voter registration forms (available online at vote.utah.gov and at the Cedar Hills city office) must be postmarked at least 30 days before an election in order to be eligible to vote in the upcoming election.

In-Person & Online Registration Deadline (October 27): You may register online at vote.utah.gov or in-person at the County Clerk’s office, 100 E Center, Room 3100, Provo, up to seven days before election day. To register online you need to have a current Utah driver license or ID card. The voter registration website may also be used to change your name, address, or party affiliation.

Vote-by-mail (absentee) ballots will be mailed to registered voters on Oct. 6 (28 days before election day). Please allow up to two weeks to receive the ballot in the mail.
