Utility rates are found on page three of the City's Fee Schedule.
Download the 2012 utility rate study.
A: The breakdown of the bill is as follows: culinary water = $6.06 (minimum); sewer = $38.54 (average); garbage = $10.92 (for one toter); pressurized irrigation base rate = $15.95, plus a PI usage fee starting at $12.98 per month according to lot size, billed year round; storm drain/flood control = $7.69; CUP = $4.95; paramedic fee = $5.95. This makes the minimum total $103.04.
A: The sewer base rate is $13.50 plus $3.13 per 1,000 gallons of the average monthly winter water usage, which is 8,000 gallons per month, making the average monthly rate $38.54. The winter water usage rate is figured by subtracting the first meter reading in the spring (usually end of March) from the previous final meter reading in the fall (usually October), and dividing that total by the number of months between readings. Multiply that amount by $3.13. This sum is added to the $13.50 base rate to arrive at the total sewer charge.
Example:
Residents who move in after the sewer rates are set in the spring are charged the average sewer rate based on 8,000 gallons until the next spring when their average rate is established.
A: The charge on the first garbage toter is $10.92 per month and $7.13 per month for each additional garbage toter. Additional toters must be kept for a minimum of six months. The charge for one recycling toter is $4.79 per month and $2.24 per month for each additional recycling toter.
