A City-wide spring clean-up is held each year on two designated Saturdays in April.
The dates for the 2013 Spring Clean-Up are Sat., April 13, and Sat., April 20, from 7am to 5pm.
Projects are available for groups and families. Watch for details in the March and April newsletters.
During the spring clean-up effort large roll-off dumpsters will be available at the following locations on two Saturdays only:
If you are unable to utilize the dumpsters, the City office provides each household with two annual landfill passes.
Please review the following guidelines to ensure safety and convenience: 1) Do not place any of the following items in the dumpsters: car tires, car batteries, motor oil, appliances, electronic devices, concrete, construction materials, or liquids of any type. 2) Tree limbs should not exceed six inches in diameter and 12 feet in length. (Timpanogos Special Service District, TSSD, will accept tree limbs and prunings at no cost. Contact TSSD at 801-756-5231 for details and hours of operation.) 3) If the dumpster is full, please take the load to another location to avoid scattering debris or creating difficulty in hauling away the dumpster.
The City encourages residents to clean their yards, sweep gutters and sidewalks, and do their best to improve yards and neighborhoods. Owners of vacant lots should ensure that their lots are free of garbage, tall weeds, and other debris. In the spirit of the Spring Clean-Up activities, please take some time to assist those in your neighborhood who may need a helping hand. This event is held to promote community beautification by working together. Please contact the City office if you are interested in coordinating a group project. The City may have resources available to assist you.
