Cedar Hills,

On Monday, July 1, 2013 at approximately 9:45 am, a crane operator moving lumber from a stock yard area to a construction zone for the Cedar Hills Recreation Center addition, reportedly hit an overhead power line causing a major power outage and one sustained personal injury.

The power outage was immediately restored and the injured person was transported to the hospital.  City Manager David Bunker stated, “This is another reminder that extreme caution should be exercised while working around power lines and power facilities.  We are grateful no one sustained life threatening injuries and damage was minimal.”
