The City has a notification system in place and is ready to send messages out to the whole city. The system will use the resident phone numbers that are on file from when they originally signed up for utility services, but the city can change or add alternate phone numbers. Messages will be voice-enhanced or live recordings, but the system can also send out e-mail and/or text messages for people who would rather receive messages that way.
