Gutters and Storm Drains
The City asks homeowners to make sure that leaves and debris are cleaned out of gutters. These items obstruct the storm drain system and hinder the flow of precipitation off of the streets. If everyone will do their part, it not only will allow proper flow down the gutters, but it will also beautify the streets.
Courtesy to Emergency Vehicles
We are lucky to have great public safety services (police/fire/emergency medical service) in the City of Cedar Hills. The City will continue to do all that it can to provide the fastest response time to incidents as they occur. All of us can help this response time by obeying traffic laws. When you see or hear an emergency vehicle on the road (it doesn’t matter which direction you are heading), please immediately pull over to the right side of the road and stop!! This courtesy allows emergency vehicles to respond faster. Everyone is in a hurry, but not in a bigger hurry than these emergency vehicles. Lives are saved and property damage diminished by following this requirement.
Protect City Parks
Vandalism in the parks continues to be a big problem. Many of you have been inconvenienced due to the restrooms being closed. However, each time the City repairs or replaces broken items, the facilities get vandalized again. Please be vigilant and vocal in this area.
Street Parking During Snow Removal
The City reminds everyone of it’s snow removal ordinance: “So as to provide access to snow plows for snow removal, it is unlawful for any person to park or allow to remain parked any vehicle upon streets from November 1 to the following March 31 upon said streets when: 1) snow is falling; or 2) there is a visible amount of snow on the street; and 3) the street has not been plowed since the snow fell (City Zone Code, Section 5-2-5f).
