Mayor calls for rec center committee members
Mayor Richardson recently created the Community Recreation/Aquatics Center Blue Ribbon Committee to assist in giving input and assistance to City officials in shaping the potential of a center in our city. The committee will meet as needed and work with the mayor, planning commission, and council to participate in the concept, research, and implementation of ideas. If you would like to be considered for service, please notify the City in person or e-mail your name and contact information to the City's Front Desk.

City office closed for February holiday
The City offices will close on Monday, Feb. 15, in observance of Presidents Day. However, garbage service will run as usual on Monday, Feb. 15.

Easter Egg Hunt
The Youth City Council will host the City’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 27. Save the date, and watch for more details in next month’s newsletter.

IMPORTANT: Close PI valve before spring!
As soon as the snow melts enough to find your secondary water valve box, please make sure the main valve is in the CLOSED position. This will protect the pipes and sprinkler heads on your property from damage when the high-pressurized irrigation system is activated around April 15.

On-Street Parking Regulations
The Public Works Department reminds residents to keep parked cars off of the streets during and after snow storms. Doing so makes it easier for snow plows to get in and out of the streets, creates safer conditions for other residents, and keeps cars from being trapped by plowed snow along the side of the road. It's the law! Click here to learn more.

No signs allowed!
Help keep the City looking clean and beautiful. With permission from property owners, and a $1 permit per sign from the City, approved signs may be placed on private property only. All signs of any type placed in the City’s right-of-way will be removed. For more information, click here. The complete sign ordinance may be obtained at the City office or viewed here.

Some permits, like those needed for installing a fence, shed, or sprinkling system, are free, but are required for location and/or size approval. For more information, please contact the Building Department.
