Youth City Council Members: Kylee Gordon, Ashley Clingo, Richard Knapp, Mitch Webb

Ciara Decker, YCC Staff Advisor

1. This meeting of the Youth City Council of the City of Cedar Hills was called to order at 5:14 PM.

2. Approval of February 1, 2007 minutes:

MOTION: Richard Knapp- To approve the minutes from the February 1, 2007 meeting. Seconded by Mitch Webb.

3. Sponsors

a. Brad Sears – no response from Ciara Decker’s e-mail.

b. Mitchell Webb – Dad hasn’t followed through yet, but is planning on it.

c. Hillary – received $150 from Cedar Hills Family Dental!

4. Seminar: Thursday, March 8, 2007 7-8:30 PM

a. Speaker info: Have Riley Spear get all info for speakers and get to Ciara Decker

i. Bios for each

ii. Name spelling for each

iii. Contact info for each (address, e-mail, phone)

b. Refreshments: RILEY SPEAR (e-mail, not at meeting)

i. Budget - $5.99/box

ii. Pick up when – pick up at Bakery @ 2pm, Thursday, March 8

iii. How many – 10 boxes of 48 each

c. Flyers, announcements: ASHLEY CLINGO

i. Lphs Table: fill out schedule – filled in schedule, made copies, and handed out to everyone. Make sure there is candy, poster, and flyers at table.

ii. Video announcement update: Riley Spear

iii. School newspaper update: Riley Spear

iv. MRJH: Kylee Gordon scheduled for Feb 21, Feb 28, & March 7 – Ciara Decker spoke with MRJHS, LPHS, & Timberline to promote seminar.

v. Club Update: Hillary Naisbitt – promoted at Operation Smile

vi. Mr. Durrant update: Riley Spear – all members took flyers to promote in classrooms

5. Youth Web site / Blog:

a. Update: Mitchell Webb

b. Web site discussion – give ideas: promote site at seminar. Action Needed: Mitch Webb will talk to Jim Perry about Forum. Hillary Naisbitt will get photos to Ciara Decker of induction into YCC.

6. Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 7, 2007 @ 11AM

i. Design Flyer: Ashley Clingo – Action Needed: Ashley Clingo will design

ii. Signs: can anyone get donated?

e. Pet the Bunny: Assign – Action Needed: Assigned Kylee Gordon to find out who’s house owns the bunnies and to get info.

f. Age groups: 3 & U, 4-5, 6-7, 8-10
