3.          Yard of the Month

Discussion about possibly purchasing new, more durable, signs for the “Yard of the Month.” Before June, the committee will also need to obtain new certificates to be given away to the winners. C. Willie has contact information for Highland Farms who has provided certificates in the past. The committee will discuss this again during their April meeting. The committee is open to new ideas about how to make sure that signs are returned. Each committee member should be responsible for their own sign. The winner should be given the option to have the sign placed in their yard and/or have their name published in the newsletter.

The committee has been discussing the idea of including a “Tip of the Month” in the newsletter. Such as, “Did you know there is a place to recycle yard waste at the Timpanogos Special Service District?” The “Tip of the Month” would be put in the October newsletter; “Light Up Cedar Hills” in November, article about Alpine luminaries and slowing down for deer in December, and winners of “Light Up Cedar Hills” in January.
