1. Call to Order
This meeting of the Parks and Trails Committee of the City of Cedar Hills, having been posted throughout the City and the press notified, was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Stephanie Martinez.
2. Welcome New Committee Members

3. Appointment of Vice Chair

4. Approval of Minutes from the September 12, 2007 Meeting

5. Eagle Scout Projects Report
A. New Projects
Are there projects to propose?
Action required: Ashley Vogelsberg will look through files for the old list.
B. Upcoming Projects
The City Council approved the benches project. They would like something that is going to last this time.
Action required: Dave told will contact Konrad Hildebrandt to ask about how this will be financed.
6. General Plan and Parks
A. Review Updated Plan
The Parks and Trails Master Plan needs to be updated. The last update was April 11, 2007.
Action required: Ashley Vogelsberg will look through old files for the most recent plans.
B. Mesquite Park
Will there be goal posts provided by the City?
Action required: Charelle Bowman will see if there is extra budget money not being used that can go toward getting goal posts.
C. Heritage Park Playground Equipment
What can be done to prevent future vandalism? Ideas: lights, cameras, watch program.
Action required: Charelle Bowman will look into security measures.
7. Miscellaneous Trails and Bonneville Shoreline Trail
A. Grant Update on BOSH
Action required: Ashley Vogelsberg will speak to Konrad Hildebrandt to see if the City is able to apply for a grant for phase 3 before the phase 2 grant is used.
B. Discussion Regarding BOSH 2 and BOSH 3
C. Trail Update on Cottonwood Drive
8. Yard of the Month
The City was broke up into areas and assigned to Committee members for the summer months. Donations are needed for prizes.
9. National Trails Day
This is scheduled for Saturday, June 7. There is a budget of $500 for maps, water, muffins, granola, and possibly handouts.
Action required: Ashley Vogelsberg will talk with Gretchen Gordon as to what printer they’ve used to print wrap-around logo stickers for water bottles.
10. Set Dates for Parks and Trails Committee Meetings
Second Wednesday of the month.
