This work session of the City Council of the City of Cedar Hills, having been posted throughout the city and the press notified, was called to order at 6:09 p.m. by Mayor McGee.
1. Review Quarterly Financial Statements ending March 31, 2008 (6:09 p.m.)
See handouts. Rachel Brown gave a presentation on the third quarter financial statements. The City is ahead of budget on taxes. Staff proposes that additional taxes pay off the road bond on June 15. In some areas, expenditures are projected to be under budget.
2. Noticed agenda items for this Regular Council Meeting (6:44 p.m.)
• Review/Action on a Contract for a Telecommunication Transmitter
Representatives from RapidWave put a temporary antenna on the water tanks so that the Council could see what a tower would look like. The Council went outside to look at the tower.
• Report on Fiscal Year 2008 Budget
Rachel Brown gave a presentation on the vehicle replacement schedule, General Fund expenditures and level of service, and Water and Sewer Fund expenditures. The Street Lights line item under the Streets Expenditures should be changed to street lights O&M. Staff is requesting to pay off the road bond with available general fund revenue in this Fiscal Year 2007 rather than Fiscal Year 2008.
