July 19: 5K Race (7:00 a.m.) and Mile Fun Run ( 8:00 a.m.)
Runners of all ages are invited to participate. Registration is available online at: www.runnercard.com. Family rates not available online. Please register in person at the City office for family rates. Online registration closes early. Registrations will also be accepted on the day of the race beginning at 6:00 a.m. at the LDS chapel parking lot east of Heritage Park (4450 W. Cedar Hills Drive). July 19: Battle of the Bands at Heritage Park Amphitheater - 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.; Free!
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy an evening of friendly competition and great entertainment. Bands that wish to participate, please submit the Entry Form or call 785-9668, ext. 114, for more information. The winning band receives $300 cash. Help us get the word out by printing the BOTB Flyer and displaying it on public posting boards throughout the valley. $20 entry fee per band (checks only).
July 23: Firecracker Golf Tournament at Cedar Hills Golf Club - 8:00 a.m.
In conjunction with the Family Festival, the annual Firecracker Golf Tournament will be held at the Cedar Hills Golf Club for Cedar Hills residents and their friends and family members. Please submit the Registration Form and entry fee to the Pro Shop at the golf course.
July 24: Cedar Hills Family Night with the Orem Owlz at UVSC - 7:05 p.m.
Enjoy a family night out at the baseball park at Utah Valley State College with the Orem Owlz. Reduced tickets will be available at the City office. July 25: Dinner and an Outdoor Movie at Heritage Park
Enjoy a Luau dinner at the park pavilion from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Then at dark kick back and watch a full-length, family-friendly movie on a huge outdoor screen. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and pillows! Tickets are required to attend the dinner. Click here for ticket information.
July 26: Cedar Hills Parade - 9:00 a.m.
Cedar Hills welcomes floats, horses, bands, performing groups, decorated cars, trucks, ATVs, small vehicles, and bicycles to participate in the parade. Please submit the Parade Entry Form to the City office by Thursday, July 3, at 4:00 p.m. to be considered for the parade. Click here for the parade route.
July 26: Carnival at Heritage Park - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Inflatable rides, children's games, family activities, craft fair, cake-eating contest, bingo, outdoor performances, climbing walls, food, and lots of fun! Click here for tickets.
July 26: Outdoor Performances at Heritage Park Amphitheater, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Free!
Free musical performances are featured throughout the day. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, find a shady spot on the lawn, and enjoy these fine presentations. If you or your group would like to perform, please submit the Performance Application to the City office.
July 26: BMX Bike Show, 11 a.m. & 3 p.m.; Free
A thrilling 40-minute show of professional BMX stunt riding with music, theatrical comedy, and audience participation.
July 26: Firemen's Water Cannon: East Field, Cedar Ridge Elementary - 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. & 3:00 p.m.
Get soaked! July 26: "Read & Win" Reading Program
Cedar Hills invites all children between the ages of 6 and 12 as of September 1, 2008, to read ten (10) books by July 26, 2008, and win a fun prize. Obtain a Reading Record Form here or at the City office and have a parent, guardian, or teacher verify your reading. Submit the form at the headquarters booth in Heritage Park between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to receive the prize. Happy reading!
July 26: "Run to Win" Walking or Running Program
To encourage and reward those who like to walk or run, we continue this event. Walk or run the amount of miles for your age, record how many miles you run each week, and take the Run to Win Form to the headquarters booth at Heritage Park between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to receive a prize.
July 26: COSTCO Cake-Eating Contest at Heritage Park Pavilion; 2:00 p.m.
Now you can have your cake and eat it too! In this event, wild and wacky participants of all ages will compete in age groups for prizes, while scarfing down generous helpings of delicious Costco cake. Everyone is welcome, but all cake eaters must wear a Family Festival wrist band. See if you have what it takes to clean off your plate before anyone else!
July 26: Pet Show at Heritage Park Amphitheater; 5:00 p.m.; Free!
Bring your pets of all kinds and win great prizes! Enter your pet in the category of your choice: best trick, most obedient, best costume, friendliest, etc. Complete the Entry Form and submit it to the City office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18.
July 26: Peter Pan at Heritage Park Amphitheater; 8 p.m.; Free
Up with Kids Productions presents this one-hour, up-beat musical show for the entire family!
July 26: FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR!
The fireworks are set off in the vicinity of Cedar Hills Drive and 4800 West and will begin after dark at approximately 10:00 p.m. K-STAR 1400 AM radio will broadcast music to accompany the display, so tune in!

Craft Fair Exhibitors and Food Vendors
Crafts, art objects, and other items, along with food, cold drinks, and other types of refreshments will be available for sale at the festival on Saturday, July 26. ATTENTION, VENDORS & EXHIBITORS: Please submit the two-page Vendor/Exhibitor Application & Agreement.
Help! Volunteers Needed
We hope that volunteering for the Family Festival will become an annual tradition for families, organizations, and businesses—so help us spread the word! Volunteering for the Family Festival is both rewarding and fun. It's an opportunity to serve others and to meet many wonderful people in our community. Training is provided and each volunteer is awarded two complementary individual festival passes and a T-shirt. Click here for all the details.
