June 30, 2016

Starting on August 18 and running for 12 weeks, students 8-18 years old (age exceptions will be made on a case by case basis) will learn the basic and finer points of musical theater by auditioning, rehearsing, and performing Hairspray Jr. Each student in the class will have a role and perform it three times on the evenings of November 7, 8, 9, 2016.

The classes will be taught by Jordan Long, assistant administrator and fine arts director at Liahona Preparatory Academy. Registration will be for the hours of 4:15-8:30, and all students will meet together for the first class. After auditions, the children will be divided into two classes: 4:15-6:15 and 6:30-8:30. If you cannot do a certain time, please make sure to notate it on the online registration.

Media packs, including a T-shirt, picture CD, and DVD, are now offered at registration, and if you choose to purchase one at check out, you will receive two complimentary tickets to the performance of your choice. Space fills up quickly, so register today at REC1.com.

SPECIAL NOTE: The show will be cast true to its ethnic diversity. We encourage students of all ethnic backgrounds to join us!
